STRUCTURE OF THE BODY.
The human body is composed of solids and fluids.
The fluids are most abundant in children and youth. It is this which gives softness and pliancy to their flesh. In old age the fluids are less abundant, and the flesh is more hard and wrinkled.
The fluids contain the whole body, as it were, in a state of solution;
or rather, they hold the materials out of which it is manufactured.
