Shrinking of the Brain. Atrophy.
THIS is a disease in which the volume of the brain is diminished. There are two forms of it; one is congenital, the brain not being properly developed at birth; the other occurs in consequence of dis. ease either in the membranes or the arteries. The symptoms are not distinguishable during life from those of other brain affections, and therefore it can only be treated according to general principles.
